About the Opportunity:  

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a temporary Recruitment Coordinator with a potential to become a permanent role. This position is located at Pretium Resources Inc.'s "Pretivm" Vancouver Corporate Office. The Recruitment Coordinator reports to the Director, Human Resources.

Job Purpose and Accountability:

The purpose of this position is to provide overall administrative support to the employment and recruitment area of Pretivm. 

This position works directly with all members of the HR Team and managers in all departments and locations (Vancouver office, Smithers office and Brucejack Mine) to ensure timely execution of recruitment activities in a safe and efficient manner.

Responsibilities:

Perform the following duties, with safety being the number one priority:

  • Post job descriptions on career websites
  • Evaluate and screen applications and resumes
  • Conduct telephone pre-screen interviews
  • Provide a shortlist of qualified candidates to hiring managers
  • Schedule interviews
  • Prepare new hire paperwork, including offer letters, while ensuring legislation requirements are met
  • Conduct reference and background checks
  • Schedule pre-employment medical appointments
  • Provide onboarding information
  • Submit new hire IT tickets
  • Serve as backup Super User on JDE payroll module for employee data entry
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
  • Travel to site as required

Qualifications:

A Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or equivalent with 1-3 years of relevant experience. Previous JDE and/or SCOUT Talent experience considered an asset.

Skills:

  • Current knowledge of employment / labour laws and regulations and their application
  • Demonstrated ability to uphold confidentiality and manage sensitive situations with tact
  • Excellent interpersonal skills combined with a strong customer service orientation
  • Ability to prioritize and manage competing demands in dynamic environments
  • Solid problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Proficient in core office programs (e.g., Microsoft Office products) and capable of learning ERP or ATS
  • Strong data entry and processing skills combined with a high level of attention to detail
  • Ability to work well both independently and as a member of a team
