About the Opportunity:  

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Recruiter. This position is located at Pretium Resources Inc.'s "Pretivm" Vancouver, BC corporate office in support of the Pretivm’s mining and explorations projects and reports to the Director, Human Resources.

Job Purpose and Accountability:

The Recruiter is accountable for managing, leading and executing the timely and effective recruitment of all positions in support of Pretivm’s Brucejack Mine, from posting vacancies, screening candidates, scheduling interviews, extending offers, submitting requests for pre-employment testing and new hire IT tickets. 

Additionally, this position is fully responsible for the development and improvement of the recruitment process, coordinating, planning and establishing recruitment schedules and the implementation of recruitment innovations. In consultation with Management and Human Resource Personnel, the incumbent is responsible for coordinating, planning & establishing recruitment schedules & procedures to ensure seamless and efficient onboarding of candidates to meet departmental goals and objectives.

Responsibilities:

  • Review, (re)design, develop and implement the Pretivm’s recruitment and talent acquisition process.
  • Meet with senior managers to determine workforce requirements and identify hiring priorities.
  • Consult and collaborate with the Community Relations Manager with respect to established recruitment agreements as they pertain to regional and First Nations organizations.
  • Plan and develop advertising strategies and make effective use of social media to enhance talent acquisition.
  • Set recruitment measures, i.e. critical KPIs
  • Research and select optimum recruitment channels and promote Pretivm brand in the marketplace by actively pursuing and aligning to industry groups & networks.
  • Research and implement best practice recruitment methodologies.
  • Builds a strong rapport with internal and external stakeholders and recruitment agencies.
  • Monitors and evaluates effectiveness of recruitment process and makes changes to maximize use of resources.
  • Conducts job interviews for the managerial job positions (or key jobs in the organization).
  • Monitors labor legislation and implements required changes to keep the process compliant.
  • Acts as a single point of contact for managers regarding recruitment topics.
  • Design and implement relevant recruitment training courses for HR practitioners and line managers.
  • Drive recruitment success by leveraging and managing recruitment metrics, reporting, systems and tools.
  • Serves as subject matter expert on talent acquisition practices to internal stakeholders by keeping abreast of current industry/market trends.
  • Other duties as assigned and required.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with major in Human Resource Management with 5-8 years’ experience (or combination thereof) in a fast-paced recruitment environment with high volume recruitment activity with a demonstrated track record of bringing a high volume of talent into a company with high growth.  The ideal candidate will be a Certified Professional in Human Resources (CPHR) or Registered Professional Recruiter (RPR).

Skills:

  • Direct experience with Applicant Tracking Systems
  • Experience with cold calling potential candidates and creating a Talent Pipeline
  • Active user of Social Media for Recruitment
  • Strong creative writing skills to engage with passive potential candidates
  • Advanced computer software skills (i.e. Word Processing/Spreadsheet/Database Management/Desktop Publishing/Presentation applications).
  • Excellent presentation, interpersonal and relationship building skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
