Brucejack is one of the largest and highest-grade gold mines globally and as of January 1, 2021 has Proven and Probable mineral reserves of 3.9 million ounces of gold (14.4 million tonnes grading 8.3 grams per tonne gold) with a mine life of 12 years. Resource expansion drilling is ongoing and we have a large land package where we conduct grass roots exploration in the summer months.

Job Purpose & Accountability:

The Camp Services Admin Support person will be responsible for the daily support of our Logistics & Accommodations, Catering, and Housekeeping teams. Common duties will include: checking guests in and out of camp accommodations, coordinating room reservations, inventory, orders, data entry, inspections and audits, documentation and filing, light duty physical task support. The position also ensures compliance with all Pretium Resources Inc.'s "Pretivm" Health & Safety and other relevant policies and regulations.

Through Guidance and consultation with the Logistics & Accommodations Supervisor and other Camp Services Supervisors, this position ensures all tasks are performed to a high standard, in a safe and efficient fashion, as well as adhering to all health and safety regulations and company standards/policies and procedures.

Responsibilities:

Perform following duties, with safety being the number one priority:

  • Data entry and distribution
  • Greet guests as they arrive and issue room keys, assist with guest check outs
  • Take phone calls and provide information or transfer to the correct department/ person
  • Answer queries regarding the facility
  • Daily and weekly reporting through the use of INNfinity and Microsoft Office software
  • Report housekeeping and maintenance needs to the appropriate personnel
  • Operate radio channels & equipment to communicate with site personnel
  • Process and transmit information and instructions to co-ordinate the activities of vehicle operators, crews and equipment using a variety of computer-aided communications
  • Manage inventory, order supplies, and perform audits
  • Light physical duties as needed to support Catering and Housekeeping teams
  • Administration support for Logistics & Accommodations team
  • Travel booking support for Travel Coordinator
  • Facilitate training and meetings, take minutes
  • Contribute to the efficiency, safety, high morale, and smooth operation of the Camp Services team. We are all expected to pitch in wherever needed.
  • Ensure all areas of responsibility are clean, sanitary, well-maintained, and stocked with supplies.
  • Respect client privacy at all times
  • Understand and ensure compliance with Pretivm safety policies and governmental safety regulations including Ministry of Mines and WorksafeBC.

Skills:

  • Customer Service experience
  • Strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office 
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Effective written and verbal skills
  • Self motivated and able to remain busy, seeking out tasks and direction as needed
  • Able to maintain strict confidentiality in performing duties
  • Time management skills
  • Previous experience with reservations software
  • Adaptable and open to change in a fast paced working environment

Additional Information:

  • Able to pass a pre-employment medical screening
  • Work at remote location (camp) on a 13 days on / 13 days off rotation
  • Be able maintain high levels of performance over 12 hour shifts
  • Able to work in areas of extreme weather conditions
